YOUR INSTRUCTIONS

Will this be your first massage?  If so, no problem, here’s all you need to know:

Make sure you give yourself plenty of time for your massage and that there are no interruptions or distractions.  A warm or hot shower helps you relax and washes off any salts or chemicals that may clog your pores when mixed with massage oils.  You will be unclothed during your massage and should wear a towel or robe to the massage table;  you’ll be able to disrobe in privacy.  You will be draped with a sheet throughout the entire massage.

It is very important to communicate with your therapist. Let him know which areas you’d like to focus on, and if you’ve had any recent accidents or injuries. Also let your therapist know if you’re experiencing any pain or discomfort, or if you’d like the amount of pressure to be adjusted at any point throughout the massage.

And finally, make sure to drink plenty of water after receiving a massage. During a massage, harmful toxins are removed from your muscle tissue and into your bloodstream;  drinking water allows you to remove those toxins from your bloodstream, allowing your body to detox.

Other than that, just relax and enjoy your massage!
